About
Self-expression is integral to how Zola Simone navigates the world. With music that draws sonic influence from the 80s and queer pop contemporaries, Simone’s original “androgynous pop” sound spans genres with style.
Since releasing her first song “Real to You” at thirteen years old, Zola has released over forty songs, five EPs, and one album, Now You See Me, which has surpassed two million streams. Her song “Easy” won Song of The Year at the 2021 Boston Music Awards and was featured in the series finale of the Netflix original series, Atypical. In 2024, she released three EPs, Red, Green, and Blue, and made her debut at the Boston Calling Music Festival.
When she’s not on stage or studio you can find her studying at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.
